Alle due del pomeriggio del 4 dicembre il comitato organizzatore del “38esimo Golden Disc Awards” ha lanciato il proprio sito web ufficiale e ha annunciato i nomi degli artisti candidati nelle categorie principali, tra cui “Digital Song Division”, “Album Division Bonsang (Premio principale)” e “Rookie Artist of the Year”.
L’edizione di quest’anno ha preso in considerazione i brani e gli album pubblicati tra la metà del mese di novembre 2022 e l’inizio di novembre 2023.
Per quanto riguarda il premio irripetibile “Rookie Artisti of the Year”, i candidati sono stati selezionati in base ai punteggi delle canzoni digitali e alle vendite degli album.
L’evento sarà presentato da Sung Si Kyung e Cha Eun Woo degli ASTRO e si svolgerà il 6 gennaio 2024 allo Stadio Internazionale di Jakarta, in Indonesia.
