Il Baeksang Art Award è un premio che è stato istituito nel 1965 e che si svolge ogni anno nella capitale sudcoreana nel periodo primaverile.
Nel corso della cerimonia vengono assegnati prestigiosi riconoscimenti alle opere e agli interpreti che si sono distinti in campo cinematografico, televisivo e teatrale.
L’edizione di quest’anno è la numero 58: i candidati sono stati scelti da una giuria di 60 professionisti del settore che ha valutato tutti i drama, gli spettacoli e i film andati in onda in televisione o usciti nei cinema e nei teatri tra il 12 aprile 2021 e il 31 marzo 2022.
La cerimonia verrà trasmessa in diretta il 6 maggio alle 19:45 (ore coreane) sulla rete JTBC.
L’interesse dell’occidente verso le produzioni sudcoreane e i suoi artisti aumenta sempre di più, come dimostrato dal loro ingresso nei cataloghi di Amazon, Netflix e Disney Plus.
